Pricing runs $250 to $450 depending on the model; the heavy dual-motor cars and the Model X take longer because the underbody shields have to come off to reach the adjusters. Text your model for the exact number. Price is the second reason people come to KC. The first is that one person does the whole job, follows the procedure, and shows you the numbers. Tires are the expensive part.
A Tesla is heavy, puts torque down instantly, and rides on soft, quiet tires. Small alignment errors that a Camry would shrug off show up on a Model Y as feathered edges, cupping and a set of tires gone well before their rated life. On a car where a set of tires costs as much as a brake job, alignment is the cheapest thing you can do for the running cost.

Tesla's procedure has one step most shops skip: weight in the car. The suspension geometry changes with load, so an alignment done on an empty car reads perfect on the rack and is wrong the moment you sit in it. KC loads the car the way the manual says before he touches an adjuster.
And if your rear tires are already wearing on the inside edge, know this: a standard alignment can only correct toe on a Model 3 or Y, because rear camber isn't adjustable from the factory. The real fix is adjustable camber arms. We do those too.

Will an independent alignment void my Tesla warranty?
No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Tesla can't void your warranty because an independent shop did routine work like an alignment. What they can do is decline a warranty claim on a part damaged by bad work, so the work has to be right. KC aligns to Tesla's published specs and hands you the before/after printout.
Do you load the car with ballast like Tesla's procedure says?
Yes. Tesla's service manual calls for weight in the car during alignment so the suspension sits at its real-world ride height. Skip it and the numbers look perfect on the rack and drift the moment you sit in the seat. KC follows the procedure.
Do you have a Tesla-safe lift?
Yes. KC lifts on the four factory jack points with pucks so nothing touches the battery pack edge. Never the pack, never the rockers.
My rear tires are wearing on the inside edge. Will an alignment fix that?
Usually not on its own. Model 3 and Model Y rear camber isn't adjustable from the factory, so a standard alignment can only correct toe. The real fix is a set of adjustable rear camber arms plus an alignment. See our Tesla tire wear page for what that involves.
How long does it take, and can I get in same day?
Same day. Drop it off in the morning and it's done that afternoon. Most days KC can fit a Tesla alignment in same day or next day; call or text and he'll tell you exactly when.
